Many people use blogger to get free pointer sites. If you can find a few people to link to your pointer site, this could be very effective. However some of the pointer sites I've seen are just the same post over and over again. I suppose you'd have to link to those kinds of pointer sites with your own sites because no one else would want to be associated with that type of link.

Search engine optimization tip: Get links. The best links are links from sites related to yours, sites with similar content. I wouldn't exchange links with unrelated sites, but one way links from unrelated sites won't hurt you. One way links from unrelated sites will probably never hurt you because then your competitors could sign you up for free for all link pages and the like to hurt your rankings (thereby improving their own).

Page Rank is losing importance. It still matters, but I'm just as willing to exchange links with a PR 3 site as I am with a PR 5 site. Why? Because...

Anchor text is key. What you really need are lots of links that contain your keywords. Where should the links come from? All over the web, because...

Search engines can determine your site's IP. There is no clear indication that they do, and many experts debate how critical it is to ahve incoming links from numerous IP addresses. Even if it is not critical now, it probably will be at some point in the future; links from different IPs really do indicate that a site is integrated into the web.
